Well, I didn't think I would be able to get this done in time for the fair in two weeks, but with this time off from work, I finally have time to work on this stuff!

This is my black and white block exchange top from a coupe of months ago. I will put two more borders on the outside, in black white and red fabrics from my log cabin quilt. I'm going to embroider each person's name and location on the back vis-a-vis each person's block.

ETA:
Not sure why my pics didn't attatch the first time, lets try this again.

Ok, this isn't working. Give me a minute

That's really beautiful Melanie! And I love the original setting for the blocks (my DH would love it too, he likes things to be a little "off" or asymmetrical!)

I really like the way you set your blocks....and the red just sets them off beautifully. Nice job.

My plan was to have them tilting in different directions, but I didn't think far enough ahead when I was sewing them. I figured it out when I laid them out together, and then I didn't feel like taking everything apart again. I didn't use a pattern for these so I was kind of guessing and trimming all the way

Oh my gosh, Melanie, you're pregnant! I just noticed the ticker on your signature! Congratulations!! I bet that baby gets a nice quilt from his or her mama!

Oh, and this quilt looks great!
