This is a Memory Quilt that my cousin had me make for her.
4 years ago, my cousins husband was killed in an accident at age 42. She recently met a man at her church who lost his wife to cancer two yrs ago(at age 42). They married on New Years Eve. She wanted the memory quilt for her new Step Daughter (age 14). They brought me a skirt, a pair of pants and two blouses...size 2..so not alot of fabric. And all was to be in black and white...colors of daughters new room. I met the young girl at the wedding, she said she wanted to "Thank me" for making it and she absolutely loved it. Her Dad and new step Mom said different family members that had seen it commented on such a special treasure. I took the pockets from the pants and put then on a pillow for her as an extra gift to hold some special momentos of her Mom. All of the center is fabrics of her Mom's but, I had to add the circular polka dotted fabric( the black and the white) and some of the white to make the quilt big enough.
