Default Black and White Quilt

I saw this quilt on the Quilting Board awhile ago, and just knew I had to make it. The book is no longer being published but I found it on Amazon and had to buy it. Got the top done, showed it to my kids and now I have an order for 3 King Size quilts. One for my daughter, one for my son, and one for my granddaughter. Bought all my fabric from a LQS that was going out of business, flowers for the girls and geometric designs for my son. Yesterday I decided it was time to start. Figured it out and I need 540 2" strips. Wow! That was scary!!! Got my GO cutter out and decided to cut the girls out first. Only need 360 2" strips for them. I got them all cut while my husband was watching the Seahawk's game. I love my GO cutter. After figuring out how many strips I would need I would never have even tried these quilts without my GO cutter. Now I am happily on my way to getting them done. All I have to do now is sew all the strips together and then cut them into 60 degree triangles, and then sew them all together. Still sounds like quite a job, but thank goodness for my GO to get me started.
The first picture is the top that I made, the second picture is of the jelly rolls that I made of all my strips.
I want to say Thank You (I think) to the person that posted pictures of this quilt in the beginning. I really love it. I had no idea that I would end up making 4 of them, though.

WOW! What a beautiful quilt and it looks so complicated to make. Where can I get this pattern? You do such good work.

Just beautiful! I do love black and white. Keeping the palette confined like this develops a whole different look, I can see. Gorgeous, Julie.

That is a beautiful quilt -- love the optical illusion. Good luck with all of your quilts. Please post pictures when you are done!
