Default Block three tulip BOM for Leah Day

Just finished the tulip block for Leah Day's BOM. Recently got a Brother machine as my old Pfaff has been having issues, and for some reason this block gave me so many headaches. It was really hard getting an even 1/4" seam(have used the machine for other sewing) and nothing went right (enough for feeling sorry for myself). Enjoying making these flowers blocks and looking forward to April's block. Much room needed for improvement and hopefully it will come on the quilting.

Cute block! Reminds me of a song we used to sing in rounds as a child. " Here look in the garden bed, something beautiful is growing. Bright shaped like a cup, all red. Tulip opens to the sun."

Very pretty. I like the little "basket" it's in.
