I love bargello quilts and have admired the work of many on this board who have posted pics. I decided to take the plunge and here is my version of Eileen Wright's "Infinity" from her book Twist and Turn Bargello Quilts. It measures 50" x 57". It is a much easier technique then I anticipated but my gosh is it ever labor intensive......and thread intensive! (I went through 2 spools) :)
I posted a question earlier asking for advice on a background color because I was afraid my blues would blend in with a black background. I took everyone's advice and carried a color strip of my fabrics shopping and ended up going with a black marbled moda. I decided there was plenty of contrast. I'm thrilled with how this turned out!!
Now my questions is.....how do you quilt a bargello. There is so much thread in the quilt top already. What does everyone else do for quilting???
Thanks everyone for looking :)

No advice on quilting since I've never done a bargello quilt. Have you considered emailing the quilt designer and asking for a suggestion? I'm sure she would appreciate seeing your quilt top. You did a fantastic job of color/fabric selection and should be very proud of your final art piece. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! In her book she said to "quilt as desired" LOL I'm just not sure what is going to look good with all the lines already running through with the stripping.

Absolutely stunning! I am getting ready to take a Bargello class so if mine turns out anywhere near as beautiful as yours, I will be one happy camper. Great job.
