I would put a narrow 2" purple and then a wider green border. Bind in green.

My $0.02 worth... is I would love the look of a 1" purple inner boarder with a 2" or 3" green border.

I think put the green background around the outside, then the purple. Love the colors! And I didn't see your booboo...so don't worry about it!!
