    Absolutely lovely! What is the name of the block in yellow on the bottom, it looks like a sideways H?

    According to Barbara Brackman it is The H Block, representing the make-shift Hospitals that were set up in hotels or most any large building they could convert into hospitals for the wounded. There is so much history in each block! Love the quilt! I have the book but have only made a few of the blocks for a table runner that I made as a surprise for one of our library volunteers who is very interested in the Civil War. Don't think I got a picture of it.

    The quilt and colors are awesome. Bobbie did a beautiful job on her piecing and you did a great quilting it.
