Thank you all for your kind words. I made it for a lady I see at the therapy pool to give to her niece who has cancer. I can't take any credit for the colors as she picked them out. Actually, I was a bit out of my comfort range with so many very brights and I had to bite my tongue to NOT steer her towards some less eye popping choices to add to the mix. LOL
However, I am very pleased with how it came out and I know she is going to love it. It's just what she wanted and that is all that matters.
The original pattern was set on point and I didn't like the way it handled the snowball points where they met the edges so I adapted it to what you see in the photo. I also added the cornerstones to get more of the calming pink into the quilt.
