Default Bonnet Girls - Fourteenth in Series - Farewell - Sort of Original

Hi, Just finished this block. I saw a figurine once, and this block was drawn from the figurine idea, and a steamboat was added. Hope you like it.

Ditto me too
Are you going to hand quilt it when you are done?

Great job. Love the waves. I feel sad just looking at her.

No, this quilt will not be hand-quilted. I have a lady that does a superb job using her quilting machine. She has quilted two other quilts for me, and they have been totally perfect. I usually have my tops machine quilted when I have done all of the work by machine. If I have hand pieced or appliqued, then, It would be hand quilted.

Several people have asked me about the size. These blocks measure 12.50". The bonnet girls measure approx. around 9.50." I haven't used any of the patterns from the books yet. The individual patterns are huge...I believe most of them measure for a block approx. 22" x 30." That's much larger than I would like..So, have had to make adjustments. When I use a pattern from the book, will have to resize again, for them to measure about the same size as the individual patterns, because I want them all to be about the same size. Hope this helps...I didn't realize how huge the individual patterns are..
