Default A Bookcase Wallhanging & A Potholder

Just finished this wallhanging and potholder as a surprise for an online friend who loves books, and has a "thing" for llamas, cats, and sock monkeys! I'll drop it in the mail to her tomorrow. It was from a Crafty-Pay-It-Forward challenge on Facebook, so she knows I'm sending something, but doesn't know when or what it is. Hope she likes them!

All of the books except one are classics. The other book is called "Llama Adventures", since she likes llamas. First time I've made a bookcase quilt. It was fun!

Your bookcase quilt is wonderful. I have been wanting to do one of these.
Did you embroider the names on the books before assembling the quilt or after?

I did all the embroidery beforehand.
