    I am new to quilting and not very good choosing colors yet. What color would you use for a second border and for the binding? This quilt is for my nephew who is not serving in Afganistan. Thanks for your help.

    maybe a beige color as your second border and a dark green as your binding?

    I think I'd pull one of the darker colors out of the camo.

    if you have any yellow left, i'd do an inserted skinny folded border (i think it's called a faux piping) and then maybe a brown one larger. just a touch of yellow would work. but not really needed since it's a guy quilt.

    I would use colors from the camo for borders and use the yellow for corner squares.

    Yellow would be my next border and then I would pull a dark color out to use, if I wanted another border.
