    I think I like it the way it is now, it is lovely to look at. I just finished one myself. Fun to make. Thanks for sharing.

    What about a dragon style whispy pattern for the borders? Love the quilt...what's the pattern you used?

    Just do some large stipples or meandering. I would not leave it unquilted, I'm always afraid the batting will break up from using and washing and drying it.
    It is beautiful, they will love it.

    I would finish it by binding it in that maroon fabric. It looks gorgeous!
    Make sure you insure it when you mail it!

    Drop dead gorgeous fabric! As such, I can tell you that any elaborate quilting design will be lost and not show up very much. Because the fabric is such a star in this quilt I would choose an end to end or all over design and let your piecing and that beautiful metallic fabric shine and be the star.
