Okay, I admit that this is an old quilt, but some of you have been posting pics of your son/daughter graduating from high school, so I wanted to share this quilt with you. Our youngest daughter, Melissa attended 9 schools in 13 years (K-12), no more than 2 years in any school. So for her graduation I made this quilt-in the roof pitch I wrote what grade she was in, the year, the name of the school and where it was located. In the window I put her picture(s) from that year(s). The quilt was a surprise and she loved it!!! When she went to college she hung it in her room in the dorm. It was a great icebreaker and way to meet new friends. Everyone was fascinated to see that she had attended 9 schools, where they were and what she looked like when she was younger. Though I have made Melissa several quilts since, this is still her favorite.

What a wonderful memory quilt for your daughter. That was a great idea and a very nice job too, I might add.
