I was digging thru a tub of scraps that I had forgotten about. There was this tattered envelope, so I took it out and took the contents out and almost started crying. It was quilting patterns that my DM had given me years ago. It belong to my DH's Mother. I never saw her make a quilt but I knew that she had made them before arthritis took over her whole body. Anyway here are the pic's. They are dated 1965, by woman's day fawcett publications. I'm thinking before quilting magazines maybe.

Wish I had a place to hang them in frames.

Well mom is still with me but grandma has been gone for years. She was such a loving person. I don't think I ever heard her say a single bad thing about anybody not even her own kids. Wish my kids could have known her.

Some day I might give one of them a try. They look so complicated. I'm not ready for complicated yet.

What a find. I wish I could find stuff from way back then. No one in my family quilted, so I guess I will have to live through all of you on this board.
