Our Team/Town mascot is the "tigers". My DH's Best friends son is graduating this year so I made this quilt top last night and then quilted it on the long arm today..very quick and easy quilt and I like the results of the quilting. I took a picture of the minky on the back because it shows up so well.

Oh, so you CAN use minkee on a long arm?!! I've been very reluctant to try it. Your quilt is beautiful, though, so obviously it's possible. Do you have any hints/tips you'd be willing to share?

I actually try to ONLY use minky on the long arm...I hate sewing minky on my home machine..so slick, hard to manage, and keep it straight....on a stetch frame it sews up nicely.

Hints or tips? I am fairly new to long arming myself that I would not know what to share..LOL. If you ask me a question I could try to answer if I know the info.

I'm a fairly new user as well. And a somewhat timid one at that. I love minkee for kids' quilts, but have a devil of a time trying to keep it in place. I'm guessing that the first thing would be not to roll or stretch it too tightly. And maybe pay attention to which direction the nap is going? Now that I know it can be done so nicely, I believe I'll gather up some courage and try. THANK YOU!!! One more question -- have you ever done regular fleece on the long arm?
