This is my 4th quilt top! Quite proud of it since its not just piecing charm packs squares or jelly roll strips together, theres actual cutting and measuring involved, not much but just enough hah! I had to put it aside for a while as I was waiting on the fabric coming from the US and it getting through UK customs Will baste, bind and quilt it some time this week, thats the fun part. I did have one problem though, well not so much problem but an annoyance; I used white Kona, it was starched before cutting and I use a new blade in my rotary cutter but it kept fraying and in some places it was badly frayed. Has anyone else had this problem with Kona fabrics?

Yes. I bought Kona black and was surprised at how loose the weave was and how bad it is fraying. I will look for a Black batik before I do another project with a black background.
Note: I do not wash my fabrics before sewing. I think washing would make it worse, because all the sizing that is in the quilt from the Mill would be gone, making it much more vulnerable to fraying.
