These are a couple of recently finished quilts. The french braid is for my DD and the lap quilt was made in less than 2 weeks for my sister in law who just had heart surgery. I quilted them on my little Brother sewing machine.

I love both of them. The rainbow pinwheels sashed in black on the braid are an extra special touch.

Can you please elaborate on the pattern for your sister's quilt? I love this and it is such a perfect use for Asian prints. It looks like a nice quick easy pattern. I am sure I could figure it out by looking but if there is a pattern I would love to know. Thanks

Thanks for your kind comments, I saw a pattern similar in a magazine but it was only wall hanging size so I adapted it and made it lap sized. The large floral squares were 8 1/2" as that was all the fabric I had and I just worked it out from there.
PM me if you would like any other information or if you would like me to email it to you.

I really really like the second quilt. The colors are so pretty and the pattern I also like very much. Good work. Also I always love seeing the bird on your avatar each time you post. I am a bird lover also and your bird is beautiful
