Default Bright & Bold Stacked Coins quilted by Aubrey's Quilting Creations

This bright little number was a customers quilt I quilted all freehand. I used a bright green thread and did feathers in the borders and in the large scale fabric strips within the quilt. In the stacked coins strips I used an all over stippling pattern. The quilt spoke so much on its own I did not want to add too much quilting to over power the fabrics. Thanks for looking.

Whew, now that green border could keep you up at night!! Is it a Jane Sassaman design?
It's a bit overwhelming in this context but is a great fabric overall; I can think of a hundred ways to play with it!
Still, the quilter certainly showcased it here and probably had a good time pulling complements for it!

Thanks for sharing it.

I think you were right to downplay the quilting. Each quilt has a story to tell and if you overwhelm the viewer with too many story lines (bright fabrics, fancy piecing, ornate quilting etc) the story gets lost. Very nice job!

I think of stacked FQs rather than stacked coins. Bright, colorful, happy quilt.

This is beautiful & bright!!! Did all these bright colored quilts come from the same customer by any chance? I love them and your quilting is perfect for each of them.
