Well, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so I have flattered Ranger!! I loved her avatar quilt and here is mine with the borders on and ready to sandwich. I've decided to hand quilt it, using a half inch echo stitch on the top and side of the "brick" and to do a star on the front of the brick. size is 65 x 75 This is a surprise quilt for my granddaughter Brittany's birthday in November.

I love that!! I really like quilts that make me go "ok, wait....where is the block?"
I like the colors in this one, too! Pretty pretty!
*edit* One question, is this all Half square triangles? Then you arrange it that way with the printed block? Did you have a pattern? It's great! :D

Half square triangles, yup!! except for the front star block of course. Easy Easy!! I just laid it out on EQ5 so I would know how many squares to cut. The secret is a really good contrast between the top of the "brick" and the sides. Thanks for the nice words! My neighbor (non-quilter) looks and says, oh how pretty!! Y'all "get it"!! so your comments are so meaningful.

That looks SO good and looks so complicated when you first look at it! Love your colour scheme, too.

This reminds me of the tumbling block pattern. I really like how yours came out, very pretty. You definitely have good contrast going on.
