Not wanting to "waste" anything, I made these burp cloths to practice quilting on. I also tried out some of the decorative stitches on my machine and used up some old thread and left over bias tape. My granddaughter (Mommy to be of twins) was really into Tigger from Winnie the Pooh when she was young. My thinking was the babies (and Mommy and Daddy) would not care how perfect the quilting was when they were spitting up on these! LOL

These would be great gifts to put with a matching bib and quilt. ;) I've never made the bib or burp cloth. I guess I need to learn. Since my sister is due in Aug! :)

Really cute. What material did you use? Flannel, terry cloth, fleece?

Yes, but you really do not need one. I made some several years ago and just curved in the middle a little and rounded the top and bottom. (I made bibs then also). Also you can sew together and turn instead of binding. I still cannot get use to the idea of having a special cloth for burping. In my day we used a clean cloth diaper!
