Feathers, seems like you have a great group there learning all those tecniques, sounds like our Group. We have a teacher coming to us to learn how to do pictures with thread machining, that should be interesting she says its not difficult, ha ha famous last words. Anyway like you I like to try new tecīs and some I really donīt bother with again, like reverse applique, thought that was a lot about nothing.

Glad you enjoyed this one.

Izy: Thank you for the Exploding Pineapple Pattern. I appreciate your sending it to me. I love all this new technology...you scan it in and attache it to this message and within minutes I have it clear across the world! Wow! Aren't we lucky.

Elle: I told you I had limited fabric for my choice for these first blocks. Ended up with enough fabric for 3 blocks so made it into a table runner. I'm not quite through with the runner but will post as soon as I am.

Yes, we have a really good group of friends who make up our quilt group. We have a great time together and we learn lots from each other.

GKathy: I like the floral fabric, too. I think I've had it a long, long time. Now that I'm making it into something I wish I had the redish color fabric to coordinate with the flowers in the print. That would make a great binding around the tablerunner I made. In my PILES and TUBS of stash, I can't come up with a red/rust fabric to match so will probably go with a green. There's the yellowish/gold flower in the print too but that seems even harder to match soooooo I have a bit of a challenge. The block was easy, the fabric coordinating is what is hard on this piece. When I first started quilting I made everything red/white/blue as I knew those colors went together.......maybe I'd better go back to that!

Think you are doing just great. Looking forward to when you have the time to finish it.

Tecnology is wonderful, glad I got my head round it a long time ago because its wonderful to be able to chat. Just waiting for my Son to come on Skype so that we can have a chat together and its all for nothing, wonderful.

I bet your class like this one.

Very nice work. Love the embroidery. We kinda do that, only its not every month, so we get to do our own thing for a while. If we getstuck we get help each week.

Thats what I like about the club, great help and made a lot of friends too.

Dojo, its really lovely, The Tute I did is not paper piecing. If you look at the Tute you will see a whole new way of doing this tecnique which is very easy.

I love yours though its lovely colours.

DoJo: I love your "bun warmer." Wow...it's sooooo pretty. I have one of these bun warmers and I hate to use it as I'm always afraid some of the butter I smear on the top of my homemade rolls with stain the warmer. Yours is really lovely. Wish I lived near you I'd come to the embroidery classes. Thanks for sharing.
