Here is my block. I love it and am working on several more for a small quilt. I'm using up fabric so don't have alot of any of my fabric choices for this particular block.

Thank you, Elle! Would you have any objections to my teaching this block to my quilting group in November?

Good work. Let's see some more! I will have to try this one. I have admired it on someone's avatar but I forget who's.

Wow Feathers you did good girl

As for teaching your Group, you do whatever you want, I was taught it 2 weeks ago and I just had to share it with you all. that will make a great quilt.

Please let me see what your Group make. I am so made up that you feel this way.

Feathers... I have the instructions printed off, would you like me to scan it and save to a PDF for you to take to your class? I don't mind helping spread the fun :D

Izy, I'd love the instructions. I just know my quilt group is going to love this block. I've been busy this afternoon but did manage to start my 2nd block. When I have enough to put them together I'll post a "finished" picture of what I make. Thanks for the generous offer of the instructions. I'd love them. Feathers

Elle: This block is so fun. I'm so glad you posted the tutorial.

Elle: I belong to a quilt group and each member takes turns teaching the rest of the group a block, or some project each month. This month we learned fabric origami and English Paper Pieced hexagons for a Grandmother's Flower garden. I didn't do too well on the Origami. I'm all big toes for some reason. Did OK with the Hex but I have arthritis and I don't like hand stitching so I may NEVER finish a Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt. Another member taught us all how to make those wonderful fabric bowls; someone else taught thread painting and we've learned how to make many, many different blocks. The group has told me I CANNOT teach another block with curved pieces like Drunkard's Path, Melon-shaped blocks with rounded pieces, applique, etc. I love these blocks but others in the group struggle with them. I LOVE learning new applications and trying new things. I don't always want to repeat the lesson but I like to know how the block or project is made. We have a great bunch of ladies and our skill levels are from newbie to very advanced. I'm intermediate most days, other days I'm a rank beginner!

Thank you, Izy. I'll take pictures of our group working on the project when we do it.
