Calander made with Sun Bonnet Sue blocks
#1
I decided to make a real calendar with one of the sets of the Sun Bonnet Sue sets I received from the swap last year for one of my daughter's birthday present. She is going to be 52 and I wanted to give her something to make her feel younger. She had such a hard time of turning 50. I came up with the idea of wooden frames for the blocks and actual calander to hang from and will be making kits to sell to other quilters that will have a pattern for the block sleeve and instructions for making the blocks and adjusting the cords to make the wooden bars work.
I will probably make some sets of blocks with the sleeves and wooden bars and cords for non quilters. This is the set I made from the blocks I received from the Sun Bonnet Sue swap in 2010. I want to thank everyone who participated in the swap.

Yes all you need to do is get another calendar that is 11" wide. It goes on the bottom bar.
