Hi everyone,

I'm hoping that someone can tell me the name of this block. We did it as a BoM at my quilt guild, but the lady who brought the pattern in couldn't remember the name of the block. I've done a set of blocks using this pattern for the Blue & Yellow block swap, and I'd like to put the name of the block on the labels that will be going with each block for the swap.

I've scanned through the Quilter's Cache blocks, but there are so many to look at, and I haven't seen this one.

Thanks very much!
Jan

I know that block by the name of weathervane. Here is the link to it in quilters cache but she has a slight variation that makes a square on point within the block. It would be easy enough to eliminate.

I found this on quilterscache. I think it's the same.

The closest block I found in Quilter's Cache is Farmers Daughter.

You would need to change the inner half squares to just full squares of fabric and make the outer half squares of the same fabrics.

The Bear's Paw is just a little bit different.

Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions! And especially thanks to those who surfed through the Quilter's Cache website looking for it for me!

Just to clarify - I don't need the pattern to make this block, I have the instructions for it from my guild, and I've made 12 of them for the Blue & Yellow block swap. I just want to be able to put the name of the pattern on the blocks I send out for the swap :)

Farmer's Daughter that mytwopals found is definitely closest (it's the correct construction, just different colours and size), so I think I'm going to label it "Farmer's Daughter variation".
