This garden one was hand quilted and I did a button hole stitch around everything. The spider web on it took over an hour! I quilted around the blue bird pattern in the top--and it needs at least two more--but I quit and hung it up. I figured it wouldn't get much wear and tear up there--so it could wait. Of course that was about 5 years ago, or longer... I have way too many ants in my pants to hand quilt.

My dad hybridizes Iris (he has an Iris farm)--so I drew an Iris and added one to both corners. Couldn't have a garden quilt without that with a dad who's passion is Iris!!

I love the birds and rabbit. You're right, itjust wouldn't be complete without those beautiful Iris!

Very cute garden. Looks like a nice place to spend a sunny afternoon! (except for the spider!)

I saw the spider web in the first picture! It's cute. I was also wondering what the name of the pattern was.

What a beautiful wallhanging! I love the way you added the little critters and the iris's were a wonderful touch! The spider webs whimsy really fits in with the theme, too. Good Job! :D :D :D

Oh my gosh--your comments give me the giggles.

I'll have to hunt up the pattern, Celeste, to give you the name.

I'm thinking I stopped making wall hangings because the walls are full--but I think they need changing. :D The beds are full too!! Everyone in my family has received quilted something or others--so now what? Why doesn't dusting, or wash, or cleaning give us as much joy? :?
