Default Carpenter stars for Christmas

A couple of Carpenter's Stars I made for my great great nephews, ages 4 and 7, for Christmas. I've seen this called a 4-hour quilt, but it took me about 8 hours each. That's quilt inspector Henry.

I wouldn't have been able to finish them in 8 hours. maybe when you saw them called 4 hour quilts they just meant the tops. Anyway you did a wonderful job on yours. Great choice of fabrics in them. And Henry is on the job and very thorough by the looks of things.

Those are both beautiful quilts that will be enjoyed by your great, great nephews! Looks like they have both passed Henry's inspection!

Beautiful star quilts and you gotta love Henry!

Could I ask what size this quilt came out? Looks like a good one to make for donation lap quilts. Is there a pattern available? Thanks in advance.

I think I found your pattern... is it this one?

Would still like to know how big the star center, without borders, comes out?

Yes, that's the one. I made 6 inch finished HSTs, so without the border it's 48 inches square. You can, of course, change the size by making larger or smaller HSTs.

Both quilts are beautiful. Love Henry. Black cats are my favorites.
