I finished this today. My husband asked me if I would make him something for him to keep his tape measure and pencils handy while he worked in the shop. The dogs keep running off with his stuff, I think they are secretly adding on to their doghouses. The little pockets on either side of the bottom are for his razor knife and the remote for his dust collector. The very top pocket has a spot for his glasses and three pencils.

What a neat idea. Did you use a pattern?

I found a pattern for it from Green Pepper. Then I customized it to my husbands specifications.

I love your configuration ... did you make this up or buy a pattern?
edited to say ... Opps we must have been posting at the same time or something. I will check into my patterns first. I think I might have one I can fix up like this.

The pattern I used is Green Pepper F859, then I modified it to my husband's preferences.

Great job!! This is one time your DH appreciates you sewing! It was nice of him to ask you to make him something that he'd use!!
