Here are a couple of new quilts from me.

The first is a carpenter's wheel or star (I've seen it called both). I made it using 2.5 Thangles and added an extra row to make it bigger. I made it as a table topper for a friend. It is the largest thing I have quilted on my little machine and the first time I have used the backing fabric (LOVE it) as the binding.

The second picture is a baby quilt I made as a QAYG. I used new flannel receiving blankets I found at a consignment sale for $4. My Mom gave me the backing fabric. It is knit, t-shirt, fabric. I just ironed fusible interfacing to keep it from stretching.

Love the baby quilt. I have never seen a QAYG pinwheel. How did you do it ?

I just made the blocks, quilted them, and then put them together the way Ditter did in her string quilt tutorial, see below. Not sure if that is the 'proper' way to do it, but it worked!!

Both are so lovely. I can't decide which one I like better. Great job.
