Gorgeous!!! My absolute favorite flower. I have several at home. My grandmother was a hybridizer in the 1950s in the Los Angeles area, and our family still has rhizomes that were from hers way back then. We call them "Grandma Jessie's Purple Iris". They are the heritage type, with very plain falls, no ruffles. We just cherish them!!

Lucky you. It has been so cold in Idaho it doesn't even seem like spring yet. You need to draw your iris and make a quilt. They are beautiful.
