Default New things tried

Well - as I said - "lots of new things tried". Firstly - this is the first photo I've posted on this Forum so that took a little bit of figuring out.

Then there was the foundation piecing on the first border around the log cabins - hadn't tried that before to that extent and was pleased with the results.

The third thing was the quilting. I've got a frame with a Janome 1600Q-PC and still learning heaps about doing that. Can only do squiggles at the moment but will work up to other things.

The quilt is for my sister in New Zealand - I posted it to her and fortunately it has arrived. She loves it. It started life in a magazine and my dear friend had the pattern for it - and here's the result.

Thanks for looking.

Absolutely love your quilt but of course log cabins are my favorite pattern by far. Thanks for sharing this beauty with us here.
