    What a wonderful idea for making quilts! You could take a child's panel and use your method to increase the size to whatever size you'd like. I love it!

    This was a spur of the moment design when I had a free booth at our county fair to demo basic quilting ideas. (My guild has it show at the county fair, but many of those quilts are quite intimidating for the beginner.) I think it is my most successful quick quilt pattern (I have about 30.) this led to a 4H sewing/quilting class.
