If you find yourself near harvard square step into the Charles Hotel and take the stairs up to the 2nd floor and ooh and ahh at the "9 patch" of antique (1880s) quilts on the wall. If you feel daring take the elevator to every floor and see a quilt on every landing. If you stay here (as I am), your bed may have a lovely quilt on the bed!

I can't imagine how it would be to physically see these wonderful quilts. These were quilted before the time of the rotary cutter and all our modern gadgets. The elegance of the last quilt is my favorite I believe. Altho I would like to feel and touch all of them.
