I made this tote for my daughter to replace her worn out Vera Bradley. It is made using charm squares. I lengthened the strap a bit and only used the 9" square pocket once. I created a pocket that was not as deep and made it wider to divide into 3 small pockets. I also added a magnetic snap. The next time I need to adjust the lining a bit, it didn't fit as snuggly as I would like. By the time I decided that it was all top stitched etc.

Pattern: from www.quiltsillustrated.com
Number: PS106 Charm Party Tote by Penny Sturges

The directions are very easy to follow and quick to make.

Very nice colors, aren't charm tote bags awesome. I made 5 last year for friends to put their cross stitching in when we went to a stitching convention. Everyone loved them so this year I made one and donated it to the breast cancer auction dinner and it fetched $425.00. I machine embroidered the name of the festival and year on it too.

I love what you did with the inside pockets, I have to do two for next year's convention and I think I might do that with the interior pockets.

Isn't it nice to be able to make your own bags. I was hooked on Vera Bradley bags but with the economy the way it is and the ugly colors they have been having, I decided it was cheaper to make my own.

Pretty tote. I love Ms. Bradleys bags I brought one last year and use it when I travel. I have copied her pattern and made a large tote and a matching bag I love them all.
