Jan, your mother is going to love this quilt. It reminds me of Shabby Chic colors and design. It is beautiful indeed.

Very pretty. Your mom will love it. Thanks for the link for the binding tutorial. I'm about to attempt my first binding and it was very helpful.

My mother rents a house on a river in the Texas Hill Country each summer for our family to share a 5 day vacation together. That's my mother, my husband and I, our two grown kids, one son-in-law, and 2 grandboys - ages 3 and barely 4. This event happens to coincide with her birthday. Last year she turned 80 and I had contacted everyone I could think of to send me a birthday card for her - I was aiming at 80 of them, but got over 100. She has played with those cards all year! I found a really pretty box to put them in and they have pride of place in her living room. This year it's The Quilt. I know she'll love it! Good thing she doesn't live here in town with me or I'd be over there now showing it off! I'm just proud I'm not finishing it at midnight the day before we leave!

Looks like Tanya Whelan fabric--love her designs! Gorgeous!!! Love the extra wavy line detail on the binding.
