I love all the secondary patterns this design makes - your quilt is great!

I see this is an alternative to the winding ways by taking the convex piece and dividing it in two, then making it oversized. This adds 4 extra seams to the flower block but has the distinct advantage of being able to make each petal block oversized and then trimmed down to maximum accuracy. This accuracy is often missing in winding ways and has disastrous results on the overall quilt. Let me congratulate you on a significant improvement in this pattern, making it now in the realm of intermediate quilters. A fine job and beautiful color choice.

This is wonderful! It is very pretty and fun! I may have to consider that ruler because I have not yet done any curved seams.

Wow! That is a beautiful quilt. It looks so very complicated but you make it sound so fu. It is tempting. I can see with the color pattern how following the directions is a must. Like any job, having the right tools makes all the difference. May have to look up this ruler for a challenge in quilting.
