Here is a Christmas Gift that I gave my parents last year.

How very, very pretty. Looks like a lot of work. How long did it take you to make?

It took about 3 months. I got the quilt kit from Connecting Threads….. I didn’t want to appliqué over 100 leaves so I digitized all the leaves and embroidered them instead. I appliquéd the larger flowers. I liked it so much I made one for myself….. Just haven’t had the time to layer it yet.

I wish you could post a close-up of those leaves. I bet that's a beautiful contrast with the applique and the embroidery combined!

Wow...thanks for he closeup. It's just absolutely gorgeous! I've dabbled with a little digitizing but I don't think I could have done this. I've done some cartoon stuff for the grandchildren...mostly from coloring books, real simple stuff. You have a real talent! Thanks for sharing it with us!!
