This kind of as a look of patriotic from a far.... but it is Christmas. I was given this table topper to do the longarming on... and I just had to do snowflakes. I love snowflakes. I've only seen real snowflakes once before in my 50 years of life, and that was last year. :oops:

That is cute. How difficult is it to float an odd shaped top like that? Do you pin it to hold it steady before stay stitching it around the peremeter?

edited to add, I am assuming you have to stitch down the entire top before letting the computer do it's thing with the quilting?

I stitched only the top corner and part of the left and right corners.... then I pretended that it was a square quilt. I quilted the "square" part and then quilted the 4 triangles last. It was very easy to work with then.
