Here is my first diamond quilt. I found it too frustrating, but it turned out fine for me to keep.

I collect Christmas fabrics and wanted to put them together in a scrappy look.

This pattern was in the December 2006 American Patchwork and Quilting magazine as "diamond in the rough."

What's frustrating about it is how flimsy the fabric becomes when the bias is so open. Diamonds are very hard to keep stable. And don't tell me to do paper piecing next time, Sharon! I will stick to squares and rectangles until I have the time and patience to fuss with this type of pattern again.

don't look like no diamond in the rough to me. looks pretteeeeeee smoooooooth! :P

iron on super-liteweight innerfacing will stabilize the flimsy stuff.
