Default Christmas Quilt - Storm at Sea

Have several quilt tops in progress but this is only the second complete quilt I have made. I have been sewing for 50 plus years but am new to quilting. I love it. Retiring Dec 31st and looking forward to my new hobby. Learned so much from this board, classes at LQS, youtube and Craftsy classes. Used both Deb Tucker and Storm at Sea rulers to assure accurate pieces, used Quilters Dream Request batting, stitched in every stinking seam (stitch in ditch as suggested by Cindy Needham-great Craftsy class). Merry Christmas to all!

What a beautiful quilt and beautifully done. I know about the stinking SID thing, I feel your pain, but it turned out so good. Thanks for sharing and congratulations on your retirement.

Forgot to post that I used Sharon Schamber youtube method for basting quilt using boards. Loved it. Probably basted more than needed. Basted between vertical lines so I could leave basting threads in when I did SID on vertical lines. Learned that Vertical lines needed to extend into borders as well so that when you do horizontal design in borders it lays well.
