Default Christmas quilt for stuffed animals

I told my 8 year old son we could do a quilting project together he drew out the design for a Christmas quilt for his stuffed animals. It ended up that he directed more than helped with sewing, but that's ok we had a fun time. I should've calculate the HST better but for the first time with no pattern, not too bad.

Red face

OK. couldn't load from my phone so had to kick the kids off the computer

One is the design Travis drew. Then the whole quilt and then closeups. He wanted it puffy so I used polyester batty (that I don't like to use to hand quilt) and doubled it up. Quilted in the ditch with green thread. He did help some with the sewing machine but I think I went too fast and freaked him out

Wow what a lucky son to have you as his mom.
This quilt will become his favorite childhood memory.
Thanks for sharing.

It looks perfect! You have a little artist on your hands! Maybe next time, he can do most of the sewing?! Tell him we love it!

Adorable. That's a great way to do something with your mom and have something to remember it with!
