Default Christmas quilt, would like advice on quilting

I have finished all the blocks on my Christmas quilt (using Moda Fruitcake charm packs as the primary squares.) I'm going to hand quilt this. I've been thinking of quilting a snowflake onto each charm square and dark brown diamond, and then doing little swirl patterns in between. However, I haven't found a snowflake quilting template, and as I'm new to quilting, I'm not sure how to go about making my own. Any suggestions would be very welcome, including suggestions for doing something other than snowflakes. Just sort of looking for ideas.

Thank you!!!! I looked up "snowflake quilting template," but the results weren't nearly as good. This is so helpful!

Can you get images of various snowflake coloring pages , sew on the paper to make holes and then put them on the quilt with loose chalk or the pounce pad? I have done this with a southwest design i wanted to quilt.

i love the quilt. must have been a lot of work to do those tiny snowball corners... but they really make the squares special. as for the quilting, i'd go back to elementary school paper snowflakes, folding the paper in half, then thirds. when i cut one i like, i'd use that to make a firmer template of template plastic. snowflakes would be perfect on that quilt.

Very pretty quilt. The dark sashing really pops the colors.

I hand quilt, don't know if anyone else uses these but I use cookie cutters for some shapes if I have the cookie cutter. I used a heart one for my daughters quilt. I happen to have a snowflake so I thought of it when you said snowflakes. perfect for traceing around!!! I bake alot

Your quilt is beautiful, I also would use a cookie cutter. I've done this lots of times.
