There is a blog campaign (not mine) for Christmas Stockings to be donated to foster children so that they can have something to call their own this Christmas. I'm donating one. If you're interested in joining in, you can find more info here:

http://purplepandaquilts.blogspot.co...-for-kids.html

Lyanna of Purple Panda Quilts is requesting stockings reach her by December 1, so there is still plenty of time if you're interested. My stocking is a quilt-as-you-go pattern.

I think that is a great idea, but, just a question , if they are for foster kids are they placed in homes that the foster parents would take care of this?

Great Idea. I'm a foster mom of a 12 year old boy, I've had him going on 3 years. Sure I buy him the same things I do my own children, but something like this can be put away and they can take it with them to have no matter where they are. Besides with the rising cost of everything. It's getting more difficult to afford things that aren't the necessities for both bio families and foster families.I'm positive it will be appreciated. Thank you for caring.
