Default A Christmas Tree Mug Rug

I didn't use a pattern.. I saw a picture of what I was sort of wanting to do - and then went from there.

This is actually going out to my November Secret Pal.

If you aren't familiar with our Secret Pal swap. It is so much fun. We give all kinds of hints but our secret pal does not know who they are until they receive the package. Inside the package is our name along with goodies. It makes checking my mailbox fun plus I really enjoy gathering and sending the packages out too.

thank you

I tried binding once and it looked horrible so I went back to sewing them almost all of the way around, then flipping them & top stitching.

That is darling. What a wonderful way to use the selvages. Great idea. Thanks for sharing.

I love the tree! with the salvage decorations.

I too have started sewing up and turning inside out my hot pads and mug rugs. It is just easier and gives it a much cleaner look to the project. Besides, binding them takes so much time.
