Default Civil War quilt

I bought this kit to make for my DH when I first started quilting. It was way above my quilting skills. I finally got the nerve to try it 7 years later.I had never sewed anything before trying my hand at quilting . The ladies in my quilt group pieced 23 of my blocks, it was my turn to host the group meeting so they do this as a gift which is very much appreciated. I thought I would never get done making the leaves and appliquéing them but it is finally done and DH thinks it beautiful which makes all of the work worthwhile. The back looks like it's green and brown but it is really gold and brown. Thank you for looking. I also love this board. I don't know if you realize how much you mean to the new quilters just starting out knowing nothing about this great hobby. Thank you all!
