I swore I would never be one of those people who would carry a large purse. Well, the small one wasn't doing it for me anymore. I like to carry my camera everywhere I go. I also have some must haves-such as, eyeglass case, wallet, small coupon holder, two different kinds of eye drops, epipen, other prescriptions, cell phone, blue tooth, planner, and chapstick. So the small purse didn't work anymore.

I made a large one with everything I like. A Zipper closure. Two zipper pockets-one inside and one on the outside, and some open pockets on the inside. I also included a loopy thing on the inside so I could clip on my camera case (it has a caribiner clip on it), and a strap the I can wear over my shoulder and across my chest. I found a tutorial to do the pockets. I had no idea how to do the top zipper although it came out okay. I definitely would need to know an easier way to do that! I may have to add a stronger shoulder strap later. It's very large-the size of a tote bag. If I ever make another one it will probably be a little smaller (lengthwise).

Thanks for looking.

I like your pattern choice. I want my purse to have zippers, too.

I actually didn't really use a pattern to make this purse specifically. I used the size directions and the directions how to put the main bag parts together by using the charm pack tote pattern. I then tried to figure out everything thing else out on my own. It was rather difficult for me and it took about 8 hours to complete this!

I like the white inside. Easier to see what the heck is in there. The california poppies were a perfect choice for you too. Very nice indeed!
It always takes me a long time on my projects too because I never leave anything just the way they say to do it. And besides I am not in any real hurry.
