    Default Civil War Sampler

I started this last year. I was going to make it double sided with civil war blocks. The longer is sat the more I changed my mind. I did use lots of the left overs to piece the back. Sorry my husband's arms are only so big. It is a king sized quilt.

Beautiful! I love your orphan applique block on the back. I never would have guessed the fuscia and purple were CW repro! I adore samplers.

Beautiful quilt. I am imagining your hubby back there saying, "Take the picture, my arms are killing me."

Yes, he was thinking that as he had to hold six more, but they were smaller.

They had a lot more designs and colors than we realize. I've gained alot in info when I use to volunteer at a 1850's working village.
