This Irish quilt was appliquéd and embroidered for my mother. Both sides of the family originally came from Ireland so I put this together with the county/parish names along with Mom's and her mother’s maiden names and our family name. I alternated quilting in the green blocks with a horseshoe, a rainbow and a top hat.
