Default Color Box quilt top complete

I belong to a guild and this year I was asked to assemble a quilt top made from our color boxes (there are 2 boxes that circulate to members that sign up to create a 12 1/2" block, 12" finished from fabrics placed in the box with one fabric meant to be the background. The blocks are then divided up into 3 quilts and members asked to create tops this year I helped divide up the blocks then created a top from them. The names of the block makers are put in a hat and drawn so that 3 people will win quilt tops!) I have had a lot of fun deceiding what to do with the blocks and then creating the top.

Your imagination led to a nicely coherent whole.

These are really very neat. Never seen this pattern before. That black really makes the colors pop.

Thank you all. I won a quilt top about 3 years ago and finished it and have it on my bed. That quilt is so special to me because the member that started the idea of the color boxes passed away that year and she had been the one that put together my top. I don't know why but she included some appoique on it in addition, that was the last applique she did so not only does she live on in my heart but her talent is enjoyed daily.
