Default Colorful pinwheel log cabin top

Here is a quilt top that I just finished, the block is one I graphed out as my own design. I searched but could not find a reference online so I am calling it a pinwheel log cabin block. If anyone does have a name for this block I would be very happy to know it!

The colors are all solids with some shot cottons, I used from stash and multiple, subtle tones of many of the colors though that didn't show up well in the photos. It comes out 97" square.

I am unsure of the quilting plan yet, but know I want to use flanged binding, gold inside of red just like the main diagonal line colors.

I really like your quilt. The pattern is unusual and very interesting. I like the colors you used. Please show us again after you finish quilting it.

Great quilt. The black makes the rest of the colors really pop!

This is an excellent pattern. IMHO, it would also work well as a very scrappy quilt. Good sewing. I hope you will post it when it is clear done. IMHO, some simple pattern, such as a heart or a star would work well in each color segment.
