Default compare yellow and red scrappy "sunny lanes" pattern

I posted an unfinished quilt top of this Sunny Lanes quilt pattern from Quilters Cache. I mentioned I was doing it in red and blue as well. Since my last post of this, I added the borders.

I finished up the red one and am currently working on the blue one. I love how they are turning out. I am so trying to use up scraps which seem to just multiply. These really aren't making a dent in the scrap bags. OK...well, a small dent.

Anyone, once again, in case anyone wants the pattern, it is an "easy" one but takes a while due to the number of pieces and is located at http://www.quilterscache.com/S/SunnyLanesBlock.html.

Enjoy.

beautiful ... and a perfect way to use scraps. I especially like how the borders add definition. Looking forward to seeing the blue one.

those are wonderful! i love scrap quilts
i too am trying to (make a dent) in my stash and am in the process of my second scrap quilt from my stash-
you are right scraps multiply faster than bunnies! i come home with one piece of fabric- use it for it's intended purpose and wind up with anywhere between 6 & 15(average-sometimes less-sometimes more) new pieces to put away
crazy isn't it?

you found a great pattern to use up some of those scraps-and your color combinations are wonderful!

Beautifully done! I love both of them but I'm partial to the yellow. Quilterscache is a fun site. I never knew there were so many different blocks. I made a Hunters Star using their pattern.
